INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🥒 1 large zucchini, sliced
- 🧅 1 onion, thinly sliced
Seasonings
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 🦐 1.5 tbsp shrimp paste
- 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds
Liquid
- 💧 1 cup water
STEPS
Wash the zucchini thoroughly and trim both ends. Slice it lengthwise into halves, then thirds, and finally into 0.5–1 cm thick pieces.
Place the sliced zucchini in a pot. Add thinly sliced onion and 1 tbsp minced garlic.
Add 2 tbsp sesame oil and stir well to coat the vegetables.
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the vegetables start to soften.
Pour 1 cup of water into the pot and continue cooking while stirring occasionally.
Add 1.5 tbsp shrimp paste and stir well. Cook until the zucchini becomes tender.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds over the dish.
Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate. Serve chilled for enhanced flavor.
