INGREDIENTS
Main
- 400g pork belly block
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- Sufficient amount of flour
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- Sufficient amount of breadcrumbs
- Sufficient amount of salad oil
Side Dish
- Sufficient amount of shredded cabbage
- Sufficient amount of shredded shiso leaves
- 🍅 Sufficient amount of cherry tomatoes
- Sufficient amount of tonkatsu sauce
STEPS
Boil water in a pot, add pork belly, and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes. Remove and let cool. Pat dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Coat evenly with flour, shake off excess, dip in beaten egg, coat again with flour, dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 180°C (about 4cm deep). Fry the pork until golden brown, turning occasionally for 3–4 minutes. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
Plate the pork with the side dishes and serve.
