INGREDIENTS
Cheese
- đź§€ 6 slices of melting cheese
Herbs
- 6 shiso leaves
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Meat Mixture
- 250g ground pork
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp potato starch
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp tonkatsu sauce
STEPS
Roll each slice of melting cheese into a ball.
Mix the meat mixture ingredients in a bowl until sticky and well combined.
Divide the meat mixture into 6 portions, shape into balls, and wrap each with a cheese ball. Form into an oval shape and wrap with a shiso leaf.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Cook the patties, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides (about 3–4 minutes). Cover and cook on low heat for 3 minutes.
Add the sauce ingredients to the pan and simmer while turning the patties until the sauce thickens and coats them evenly.
