INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 4 fillets horse mackerel (140g)
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 🥒 1 cucumber, julienned
- 🥕 1/3 carrot, julienned
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- Enough salad oil for frying
Nanban Sauce
- 🍬 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 5 tbsp vinegar
- 4 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 💧 150 ml water
- Sliced chili to taste
STEPS
Thinly slice the onion. Julienne the carrot and cucumber.
Sprinkle salt on the horse mackerel fillets and coat them with potato starch.
Mix all Nanban sauce ingredients in a tray. Add the onion and carrot, spreading them evenly.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C and fry the horse mackerel until light golden brown.
Add the fried horse mackerel and cucumber to the tray with the sauce and mix gently.
