INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- 🍠1 piece (180g) sweet potato
- đź§‚ A pinch of salt and pepper
- Potato starch as needed
- Vegetable oil as needed
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper, and coat with potato starch.
Cut the sweet potato into irregular chunks and soak in water for 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C. Fry the sweet potato until cooked through, then remove. Fry the chicken until cooked through and remove.
In a frying pan, combine sake, mirin, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Heat over medium heat until bubbling, then add the fried sweet potato and chicken. Toss to coat evenly.
