Stuffed Bell Peppers in Tomato Sauce

    • 1 red bell pepper (150g)
    • 1 yellow bell pepper (150g)
    • đź§… 1/2 onion (100g), minced

    • 200g ground meat

    • A pinch of pepper
    • 🌿 Chopped parsley, as needed

    • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 tbsp salad oil
  • Tomato Sauce

    • 🍅 200g canned diced tomatoes
    • đź’§ 100ml water
    • A pinch of salt and pepper
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the stems and seeds. Mince the onion.

Place the minced onion in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Drain and let cool.

In a bowl, mix the ground meat, onion, and ingredients from category A until sticky and well combined.

Dust the inside of the bell peppers with flour and stuff each half with 1/4 of the meat mixture. Repeat for all pieces.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the stuffed peppers meat-side down and cook until browned. Flip them over, add the tomato sauce ingredients (category B), and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low-medium heat for 15 minutes.

Top the peppers with shredded cheese, cover, and cook for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve on a plate and garnish with parsley.
