  • Eggs

    • 🥚 4 eggs
  • Cheese

    • 🧀 1 stick string cheese
  • Oil

    • 1 tsp salad oil
  • Seasoning

    • 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
    • 💧 50 ml water

Mix eggs and all seasoning ingredients (marked with ☆) in a bowl to create the egg mixture.

Heat a tamagoyaki pan over medium heat, lightly coat with salad oil using a paper towel. Pour 1/3 of the egg mixture into the pan and cook until semi-set. Place the string cheese at the edge and roll the egg from the back to the front.

Repeat the process with the remaining egg mixture in two more batches, rolling each layer around the previous one.

Cut the rolled tamagoyaki into bite-sized pieces and serve.
