Steamed Onion and Pork in Microwave

INGREDIENTS

  • Meat

    • 🐖 200g sliced pork
  • Vegetables

    • 🧅 1 onion (200g), sliced
    • 🧅 2 tsp chopped green onion
  • Condiments

    • 1 tbsp potato starch
    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tsp white sesame seeds

Cut the onion in half and slice into 1cm widths against the grain. Coat the pork with potato starch.

Mix all the sauce ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame seeds) in a bowl.

Place the onion and pork in a microwave-safe container. Pour the sauce over them. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 5-7 minutes until the pork is cooked through. Stir well.

Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
