STEPS
Fill a pot with plenty of water and add 1 tsp of salt (not listed in ingredients). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and gently add the eggs. Increase the heat to medium-high and boil for 6 minutes.
Transfer the eggs to cold water and let them cool completely. Peel the shells off the eggs.
In a storage container, mix the soy sauce, mirin, and water. Add the peeled eggs and garlic cloves. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 day.
