- 1–2 shishito peppers, sliced
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Seasonings
- 1/2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp spicy chili powder
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
STEPS
Clean the squid, remove its skin, and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Chop the green onion and shishito peppers. Use mild peppers if preferred.
Heat a pan on high heat and add 1 tbsp of cooking oil. Stir-fry the squid, green onion, and shishito peppers.
Add 1/2 tbsp mirin, 1 tsp spicy chili powder, and 1 tsp oyster sauce. Stir-fry quickly for 1–2 minutes.
Serve on a plate or over rice as a one-bowl meal. Optionally, drizzle sesame oil for extra flavor.
