INGREDIENTS

- 500g rice cakes
- 3 sheets fish cakes
- đź§… 1 medium onion
- đź§„ 1 stalk green onion
- đź’§ 500ml water
Seasonings
- 4 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- đź§„ 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- đź§‚ Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
STEPS
Cut fish cakes, onion, and green onion into bite-sized pieces.
Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and stir-fry 4 tbsp of gochujang for 5 minutes.
Add rice cakes and onion to the pan and stir-fry for 3 minutes on low heat. Add 2 tbsp of water if the mixture seems too dry.
Pour in 500ml of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
Add 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp sugar, and 2 tbsp corn syrup. Stir well.
Add fish cakes and green onion to the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Serve hot. Optionally, top with cheddar cheese or a fried egg for extra flavor.
