INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ÂĽ teaspoon ground allspice
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup boiling water
- ½ cup butter, softened

- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ÂĽ cup raw sugar
- ÂĽ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups diced plums
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine oats and boiling water in a medium bowl. Let sit for 20 minutes.
Mix brown sugar, softened butter, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl. Add the oatmeal mixture and mix until combined.
Sift whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, and allspice into another bowl. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix.
Place 2 tablespoons butter in a 9-inch square baking pan and melt in the preheated oven. Remove the pan and sprinkle raw sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
Spread the diced plums evenly over the sugar mixture, then pour the batter on top and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 50 minutes.
