    • 1 block tofu

    • A small amount of green onion
  • Sauce

    • đź§‚ 1 tbsp sugar
    • đź’§ 3 tbsp water
    • 4 tbsp soy sauce
    • đź§„ 0.5 tbsp minced garlic
    • 0.5 tbsp sesame oil
    • A dash of pepper

STEPS

Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces.

Slice the onion and chop the green onion.

Place tofu on a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the tofu until golden brown. Set aside.

In the same pan, sauté the onion until slightly translucent.

Add the tofu back to the pan with the onion.

Pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and onion. Simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens.

Add the green onion, stir briefly, and turn off the heat.
