STEPS

Cut the green onion into bite-sized pieces and prepare.

Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Season with salt and black pepper and let sit for 5–10 minutes.

Combine soy sauce, sugar, mirin, water, minced garlic, sesame oil, black pepper, and sesame seeds in a bowl to make the sauce.

Add the chopped green onion to the sauce and mix well.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil. Fry the tofu until golden brown on both sides.

Reduce the heat to low and pour the sauce evenly over the tofu.
