INGREDIENTS
Essential Ingredients
- 2 packs pork ribs
- đź§„ 10 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp doenjang (Korean soybean paste)
- A pinch of sesame seeds
Seasoning Ingredients
- 9 tbsp soy sauce
- đź§‚ 4 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp corn syrup
- 2 tbsp plum extract
- 4 tbsp mirin
- đź§„ 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- đź’§ 3.5 cups water
- A pinch of sesame seeds
STEPS
Soak the pork ribs in cold water for 1 hour to remove blood.
Make small cuts on the pork ribs.
Mix all seasoning ingredients in a bowl to create the sauce.
In a pot, add enough water to submerge the ribs and dissolve the doenjang.
Boil the pork ribs for 10 minutes, then rinse under cold water and drain.
In a pot, add the pork ribs, garlic, and prepared sauce. Simmer on medium heat for 40-50 minutes until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
