INGREDIENTS
Vegetable
- 🎃 300g pumpkin, cut into 3-4cm pieces
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Remove seeds and pulp from the pumpkin. Cut into 3-4cm pieces.
Mix all seasoning ingredients (sake, sugar, mirin, soy sauce) in a pot. Arrange the pumpkin pieces skin-side down in the pot.
Cover with a drop lid and heat over medium heat until it starts to boil. Then, cover with a regular lid and simmer over very low heat for about 10 minutes until the pumpkin is tender.
