INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🌱 8 green beans
Tofu
- 2 pieces koya tofu (34g)
Seasonings
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 🍶 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp dashi powder
- đź’§ 150 ml water
- đź§‚ a pinch of salt
STEPS
Rehydrate the koya tofu in water, squeeze out excess water, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Trim the ends of the green beans and cut them in half.
In a pot, combine all the seasonings (mirin, sugar, soy sauce, dashi powder, water, and salt) and heat over medium-low heat.
Once the mixture comes to a simmer, add the koya tofu, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the green beans, cover, and simmer for another 2 minutes until the beans are tender.
Turn off the heat and let the dish cool to room temperature to allow the flavors to meld.
