Simmered Daikon and Ground Pork

    • 100g ground pork
    • 300g daikon, sliced
    • 1/2 tbsp salad oil
    • 1/4 pack pea shoots
    • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Seasoning for Broth

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 3 tbsp mirin
    • đź§‚ 1/2 tbsp sugar
    • 300ml water
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Thickening Agent

    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • 1 tbsp water

STEPS

Slice the daikon into 2cm thick half-moon pieces.

Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat and stir-fry the ground pork until the color changes.

Add sake, mirin, sugar, and water to the pan and mix well.

Add the daikon, increase the heat, and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

Add soy sauce and oyster sauce, mix, cover, and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Pour in the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens. Serve with pea shoots and grated ginger on top.
