INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 200g boiled bamboo shoots
Seasoning
- 4g bonito flakes
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 200ml water
STEPS
Cut the bamboo shoots into 4–5 cm pieces for the tips, then halve them vertically. Cut the remaining bamboo shoots into 2 cm slices (quarter slices).
Add all seasoning ingredients (marked ☆) into a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, add the bamboo shoots and cover with a drop lid. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
Sprinkle bonito flakes over the bamboo shoots and mix gently to coat evenly.
