INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🍤 6 headless shrimp (120g)
- đź§€ 1 Camembert cheese (100g)
- Flour for coating, as needed
- Vegetable oil, as needed
Batter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- đź§‚ 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- đź’§ 2 tbsp water
Garnish
- 🍋 2 wedges of lemon
STEPS
Remove the shells from the shrimp, devein them using a skewer, rinse with water, and pat dry with kitchen paper. Lightly coat the shrimp with flour.
Cut the Camembert cheese into 4 equal pieces and lightly coat them with flour.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, salt, black pepper, baking powder, and water) until combined.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 190°C. Dip the cheese pieces into the batter and fry until crispy. Lower the oil temperature to 170°C, then dip the shrimp into the batter and fry until crispy.
Serve on a plate and garnish with lemon wedges.
