INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 2 bowls cooked white rice (300g)
Protein
- 🍗 1 chicken breast
Condiments
- 2 ume plums, finely chopped
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt for seasoning
- 🌰 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sake
Vegetables
- 4 shiso leaves, thinly sliced
STEPS
Thinly slice the shiso leaves and finely chop the ume plums, removing their seeds.
Remove the tendon from the chicken breast and make shallow cuts.
Place the chicken breast in a microwave-safe container with salt and sake, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes until cooked through. Let it cool slightly, then shred finely.
In a bowl, combine the cooked white rice, shredded chicken, chopped ume plums, sliced shiso leaves, and sesame seeds. Season with salt to taste.
Place 1/4 of the rice mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and shape into an onigiri. Repeat to make 4 onigiri.
