INGREDIENTS

- 30g shirasu
- 🎃 1/8 pumpkin, sliced
- 2 tbsp flour for dusting
- Vegetable oil, as needed
Batter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 💧 70cc water
STEPS
Cut the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine pumpkin, shirasu, and dust with flour for coating.
In a separate bowl, mix the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, and water). Add the coated pumpkin and shirasu, and gently mix.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Using a spoon, scoop the mixture and gently drop it into the oil. Fry until golden brown, flipping once, for about 1.5 minutes. Drain excess oil.
