INGREDIENTS
Main
- 30g of boiled shirasu
- đź§… 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 bunch mitsuba, cut into 2cm pieces
- 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Enough salad oil for deep frying
Batter
- 5 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- đź’§ 100cc water
- đź§‚ 1/3 tsp salt
STEPS
Thinly slice the onion and cut mitsuba into 2cm pieces.
Mix the onion with 1/2 tbsp of all-purpose flour in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, water, salt). Add shirasu, mitsuba, and the floured onion, then gently mix.
Heat salad oil to 170°C in a pot (about 5cm deep). Carefully slide spoonfuls of the mixture into the oil and fry until golden brown.
