INGREDIENTS

  • Fish

    • 2 whole sanma fish
  • Vegetables

    • 🍅 2 tomatoes, chopped
    • đź§… 1/2 onion, minced
    • đź§„ 1 clove garlic, sliced
    • 🍋 3 slices of lemon
  • Seasoning

    • 2 tbsp sake
    • đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
    • Drizzle of olive oil
    • đź§€ Sprinkle of grated cheese

STEPS

Mince the onion, chop the tomatoes, slice the garlic thinly, and prepare lemon slices. Make a cut along the belly of the sanma fish.

Make a cut behind the head of the fish down to the bone. Slowly pull the head to remove the innards.

Open the belly with a knife and rinse the inside thoroughly with water.

Place the cleaned sanma fish on a heatproof dish and stuff the belly with lemon slices and garlic.

Pour sake over the fish.

Top the fish with chopped tomatoes and minced onion. Season with salt, pepper, olive oil, and grated cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 40 minutes.
