INGREDIENTS

- 2 pounds ground beef

- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground cardamom

- 1 teaspoon pepper

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Wrappers
- 1 (14 ounce) package spring roll wrappers
For frying
- 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed
STEPS
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion, garlic; cook and stir until onion is transparent.
Add ground beef. Cook and stir until still slightly pink, halfway done.
Season with cumin, cardamom, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Continue cooking until beef is browned and crumbly. Remove skillet from heat.
Mix flour and water to form a thin paste. Create a cone-shaped wrapper.
Fill cone with beef mixture and seal top with paste. Repeat for all wrappers.
Heat oil to 365°F (170°C); fry sambusas in batches until golden brown.
Drain sambusas on paper towel-lined plates before serving.
