Salmon Stir-fry with Hoisin Sauce

  • Fish

    • 🐟 2 fillets of salmon
  • Vegetables

    • 🥬 3 cabbage leaves (200g)
    • 1 green bell pepper
  • Seasoning

    • 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
    • Cornstarch as needed
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Sauce

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp miso
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 1/3 tsp chili paste
    • 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic

Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, cut them into thirds, and lightly coat with cornstarch.

Separate the cabbage leaves from the core. Cut the leaves into bite-sized pieces and thinly slice the core. Cut the bell pepper into bite-sized pieces after removing seeds.

Mix all sauce ingredients (sake, miso, oyster sauce, chili paste, garlic) in a bowl.

Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the salmon and cook for 3–4 minutes until both sides are golden brown. Push the salmon to the side of the pan.

Add the cabbage and bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry briefly until coated with oil. Pour in the sauce and mix everything together.
