INGREDIENTS
Dough
- 190g all-purpose flour
- 🧈 120g cold butter
- 🧂 8g sugar
- 🧂 4g salt
- 💧 60g cold water
Apple Filling
- 🍎 2/3 apple, sliced
- 💧 5 tbsp water
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
Cinnamon Sugar
- 🌰 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 🧂 4 tbsp sugar
STEPS
Mix all-purpose flour and cold butter in a bowl using a scraper to combine.
Add cold water, sugar, and salt to the mixture and combine. Pre-dissolve sugar and salt in water for better mixing.
Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Simmer sliced apple with sugar and water in a saucepan until softened.
Divide the chilled dough into 6 equal portions.
Roll each portion into a long strip and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place the simmered apple slices on the dough strips.
Fold the dough strips in half lengthwise.
Roll the folded strips into rose shapes.
Butter a baking pan and place the rose-shaped pies. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 30–35 minutes.
