    • 1 chili pepper, seeds removed

Dice the potato into bite-sized pieces and soak in water for 10 minutes. Drain well and microwave in a heatproof container covered with plastic wrap at 600W for 4 minutes. Ensure the potato is dry. Mince the garlic and remove seeds from the chili pepper.

In a small frying pan, add the canned mackerel along with its liquid. Add the potato and all seasoning ingredients. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then simmer for 4–5 minutes, occasionally flipping the ingredients.
