INGREDIENTS

- 200g thinly sliced pork belly
- 200g lotus root, sliced
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1.5 tbsp concentrated soy sauce
- 🧈 10g salted butter
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Garnish
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
STEPS
Slice the lotus root into 2mm thick pieces and soak in water for 10 minutes. Drain the water.
Season the pork belly with salt and pepper, then cut into 3cm wide strips.
Layer the lotus root on a microwave-safe plate, then spread the pork belly over it. Drizzle sake and concentrated soy sauce over the top, and place butter on top. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 6–7 minutes.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onion.
