INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredient
- 150 g wasabi leaves
- đź§‚ 1/4 tsp salt
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- đź§‚ 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Cut the wasabi leaves into 3 cm pieces.
Bring water to just below boiling, then turn off the heat. Blanch the wasabi leaves for about 10 seconds, drain, cool slightly, and squeeze out excess water.
Place the blanched wasabi leaves and salt into a storage bag, massage gently, and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
In a microwave-safe container, mix the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) and heat uncovered for 30 seconds. Let it cool.
Add the cooled seasoning mixture to the wasabi leaves in the bag, massage gently, and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
