    • 100g boiled octopus
  • Processed Foods

    • 2 chikuwa
  • Vegetables

    • 50g tempura flour
    • đź’§ 75ml water
    • Enough salad oil for frying
  • Condiments

    • Okonomiyaki sauce to taste
    • Mayonnaise to taste
    • Aonori to taste

Chop the green onion roughly. Crush the sakura shrimp by hand. Make a slit in the chikuwa lengthwise. Cut the boiled octopus into small bite-sized pieces.

In a bowl, mix the tempura flour, sakura shrimp, and water until smooth.

Stuff the chikuwa with green onion and boiled octopus, then cut each chikuwa into three equal parts.

Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Dip the chikuwa pieces into the batter and fry for 3–4 minutes until crispy. Serve on a plate and drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, and sprinkle aonori on top.
