INGREDIENTS

- 4 pieces of mochi
- 16 shiso leaves
- 1 stick of mentaiko
- 4 spring roll wrappers
Cooking Oil
- Salad oil, as needed
Binding
- 1 tbsp flour

STEPS
Cut each mochi into 4 equal vertical slices. Trim the stems off the shiso leaves.
Cut the spring roll wrappers in half.
Place 2 shiso leaves, 1/8 portion of mentaiko, and 2 slices of mochi on a half spring roll wrapper. Apply water-flour mixture around the edges, roll tightly, and seal the ends. Repeat to make 8 sticks.
Heat salad oil in a pan to 160-170°C (medium heat). Fry the sticks until golden brown.
