Trim the root of mizuna and cut into bite-sized lengths. Halve the garlic vertically, remove the core, and crush with the flat side of a knife.

Heat olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili in a pot over low heat until fragrant. Add the octopus and simmer over medium heat. Once bubbling, add mizuna and stir until wilted.
