INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets mackerel (160g)
Vegetables
- 1/2 piece ginger
- 🧅 1/3 stalk green onion (55g)
Liquid
- 💧 150cc water
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp miso
STEPS
Slice the ginger thinly and chop the green onion into small pieces.
In a pot, combine water, sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, and miso. Stir until the miso dissolves.
Add the mackerel fillets and ginger slices to the pot. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes, occasionally spooning the sauce over the fish.
Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
