Mekabu and Fried Tofu Miso Soup

INGREDIENTS

  • Tofu

    • 🧈 1 piece fried tofu (20g)
  • Seaweed

    • 50g mekabu
  • Seasoning

    • 1/3 tsp dashi powder
    • 2 tbsp miso
  • Liquid

    • 💧 400ml water

STEPS

Pat the fried tofu with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Cut it in half along the shorter side, then slice into 1cm-wide strips.

In a pot, add water and dashi powder. Heat over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Add the fried tofu and let it simmer briefly.

Turn off the heat and dissolve the miso into the soup. Add the mekabu and heat over medium heat until just before boiling. Remove from heat.
