    • 🍄 200g maitake mushrooms
    • 1 tbsp tempura flour
    • Enough salad oil for frying
  • Batter

    • 50g tempura flour
    • đź’§ 80cc water

Tear the maitake mushrooms into bite-sized pieces by hand.

In a bowl, lightly coat the maitake mushrooms with 1 tbsp of tempura flour.

In another bowl, mix the batter ingredients (tempura flour and water) until smooth.

Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (about 3cm deep). Dip the maitake mushrooms into the batter and fry until the surface hardens, then flip and fry for about 2 minutes.
