INGREDIENTS

  • Sauce

    • 1 tbsp gochujang
    • đź’§ 1/3 cup water
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp oligosaccharide
    • 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
  • Main Ingredients

    • 230g mackerel
    • đź§… 1 handful chopped green onion
    • 1 tbsp cooking oil

STEPS

Prepare the mackerel by removing bones and scales. Ensure it is not pre-seasoned.

Mix all sauce ingredients (gochujang, water, soy sauce, oligosaccharide, ketchup) in a bowl.

Make diagonal cuts on the scaled side of the mackerel. Chop green onion finely for garnish.

Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a pan and pan-fry the mackerel until golden on both sides (about 2/3 cooked).

Pour the sauce over the mackerel and flip it repeatedly while cooking until the sauce reduces by half.

Plate the mackerel, brush with extra sauce, and garnish with chopped green onion.
