INGREDIENTS

  • Rice

    • 🍚 2 bowls cooked rice (300g)
  • Vegetables

    • 80g fresh sliced kombu
  • Meat

    • 🐖 80g thinly sliced pork belly
  • Condiments

    • 2 pickled plums, chopped
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Seasonings

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🧂 Pinch of salt
    • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

STEPS

Wash the sliced kombu in water, drain, and cut into 1cm widths. Remove seeds from pickled plums and chop roughly.

Cut the pork belly into 2cm widths.

Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the pork until fully cooked.

Add the sliced kombu to the pan and stir-fry until the oil coats the kombu evenly. Add the seasonings and cook until the liquid evaporates.

In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, stir-fried kombu and pork, and chopped pickled plums until evenly combined.
