- 1 cup tempura flour

- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- đź§„ 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
Optional Ingredients
- 🌰 1/4 cup chopped nuts
STEPS
Separate the cooked cockle meat from the shells. Canned cockles can also be used.
Coat the cockle meat with cornstarch evenly.
In a bowl, mix tempura flour, water, salt, and pepper to create a batter.
Dip the cockle meat into the batter to coat it thoroughly.
Fry the battered cockle meat in preheated oil until golden brown.
Combine all sauce ingredients in a pan and simmer over low heat until thickened.
Toss the fried cockle meat in the sauce until evenly coated.
