Peel the hechima, cut it lengthwise into quarters, and slice thinly.

Cut the yellow bell pepper into quarters and slice thinly.

Halve the cherry tomatoes and cut the sausages into bite-sized pieces.

Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add hechima, yellow bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, sausages, consomme, and salt and pepper. Simmer on medium heat for 3 minutes.
