    • 8 slices thinly sliced pork (160g)
    • 2 small hanpen (110g)
    • đź§€ 2 slices cheese
    • 8 shiso leaves
    • 1 tbsp potato starch
    • 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 2 tsp miso
  • Side Vegetables

    • 🥬 3 cabbage leaves (120g)
    • 🍅 4 cherry tomatoes

STEPS

Cut the hanpen into strips and place a strip of cheese on top of each piece.

Wrap each hanpen and cheese piece with a shiso leaf, then wrap with a slice of pork.

Lightly coat the rolls with potato starch.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and pan-fry the rolls until golden brown on all sides.

Mix the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, miso) in a bowl and pour over the rolls in the pan.

Simmer the rolls in the sauce for 2-3 minutes until fully coated and the sauce thickens.

Serve the rolls with shredded cabbage and cherry tomatoes on the side.
