INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 4 pieces hira-ten (fish cake)
- 4 shiso leaves
- 1 umeboshi (pickled plum)
- đź§€ 2 slices cheese
STEPS
Remove the seed from the umeboshi and mash it with a knife.
Cut the hira-ten in half horizontally to create a pocket.
Cut the cheese slices into quarters.
Spread 1/4 of the mashed umeboshi inside each hira-ten pocket, then add 1 shiso leaf and 1/2 slice of cheese. Repeat for all 4 pieces.
Place the prepared hira-ten on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil and grill in a toaster oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
