INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🥩 200g thinly sliced pork belly
- 4 shiso leaves
- đź§€ 2 slices of melting cheese
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- Potato starch as needed
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Topping
- Grated daikon as needed
- Ponzu sauce as needed
STEPS
Place the pork belly on a food tray. Layer 2 shiso leaves, 2 slices of melting cheese, and another 2 shiso leaves on top. Fold the pork from the edges to wrap the filling.
Sprinkle both sides of the pork with salt and pepper, then coat with potato starch.
Heat a frying pan with salad oil over medium heat. Place the folded side of the pork down and cook for about 2 minutes until browned.
Flip the pork, cover the pan, reduce to low heat, and cook for about 5 minutes until fully cooked. Serve on a plate, topped with grated daikon and ponzu sauce.
