INGREDIENTS
Wrapper
- 20 large dumpling wrappers
Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Liquid
- đź’§ 50cc water
Cheese
- đź§€ 80g pizza cheese
Soup
- đź’§ 100cc hot water
- 5g powdered gelatin
- 1/2 tbsp chicken stock powder
Meat Filling
- 150g ground pork
- đź§… 2 stalks green onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tbsp sake
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
STEPS
Mix the soup ingredients (hot water, gelatin, chicken stock powder) in a heatproof container and let cool. Refrigerate until set.
Chop the green onions into small pieces.
Combine the meat filling ingredients in a bowl and knead until sticky. Add the set soup mixture and mix gently to break it up.
Divide the filling into 20 equal portions. Place each portion onto a dumpling wrapper, moisten the edges with water, and fold into pleats to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Spread pizza cheese evenly, then arrange the dumplings on top. Add water and cover with a lid. Steam on low heat for 5 minutes.
Remove the lid and cook on medium heat for 1-2 minutes to evaporate excess water.
