INGREDIENTS
Chawanmushi Base
- 🥚 2 eggs
- đź§‚ 1 tsp concentrated soy sauce
- đź§‚ 1 pinch salt
- đź’§ 200 ml water
Corn Ankake Sauce
- 🌽 3 tbsp canned corn
- đź§‚ 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi granules
- đź’§ 150 ml water
Thickening Agent
- 2 tsp potato starch
- đź’§ 2 tsp water
STEPS
Crack the eggs into a bowl and mix. Add soy sauce, salt, and water to create the egg mixture.
Pour the egg mixture through a sieve into heatproof cups, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 200W for 7 minutes.
In a saucepan, combine the corn ankake ingredients and heat over medium-low. Once boiling, add the starch mixture and stir until thickened.
Pour the corn ankake sauce over the chawanmushi and serve.
