INGREDIENTS
Steak
- 🥩 2 medium-sized beef steaks
Seasoning
- 🧂 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Optional Garnish
- 🌿 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, smashed
- 🧈 2 tbsp unsalted butter
STEPS
Pat the beef steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, then add olive oil. Once the oil is shimmering, place the steaks in the skillet.
Cook the steaks for 3–4 minutes on one side without moving them, then flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes for a medium-rare doneness.
For additional flavor, add the butter, rosemary, and garlic to the skillet during the last two minutes and spoon the melted butter over the steaks.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
