INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 🌾 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
Wet Ingredients
- 🥛 3/4 cup warm milk
- 🧈 1/4 cup melted butter
- 🥚 1 large egg
- 🧈 1 tbsp melted butter for brushing
STEPS
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add warm milk, melted butter, and the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal portions, and shape into rolls.
Place rolls on a greased baking tray, cover, and let rise again until doubled (about 30-40 minutes).
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush the warm rolls with melted butter and serve.
