INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 6 slices thinly sliced pork belly
Seafood
- 6 pieces chikuwa
Vegetables
- 6 shiso leaves
Cheese / Dairy

Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🌰 1 tsp white sesame seeds
STEPS
Cut chikuwa lengthwise and stuff evenly with pizza cheese.
Lay one slice of pork belly horizontally, place one shiso leaf and one stuffed chikuwa diagonally, then roll tightly. Repeat for all 6 rolls.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the rolls seam-side down and cook until browned. Rotate to brown all sides and cook through, about 2–3 minutes.
Remove excess oil with a paper towel, add the seasoning mixture, and simmer while coating the rolls until the sauce thickens.
