INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
Legumes
- 🌱 80g steamed soybeans
Vegetables
- đź§… 1/2 onion (100g), sliced
- đź§„ 1 clove garlic, minced
Seasoning
- As needed all-purpose flour
- đź§‚ A pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 🌿 A pinch of chopped parsley
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍅 200g canned chopped tomatoes
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- đź§‚ 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/3 tsp consomme powder
- đź’§ 50ml water
STEPS
Slice the onion thinly and mince the garlic after removing its core.
Trim excess fat from the chicken thigh and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then lightly coat with flour.
Heat olive oil and garlic in a frying pan over low heat until fragrant. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook until browned. Flip the chicken, add the onion, and sauté until softened.
Add the sauce ingredients (sake, canned tomatoes, ketchup, salt, consomme, and water) to the pan and bring to a boil. Add the soybeans, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove the lid, increase to medium heat, and cook until the liquid reduces. Serve on a plate and garnish with parsley.
