Cut the mozzarella cheese into 4 equal pieces. Pierce the cherry tomatoes with a toothpick in several places.

Lay the prosciutto slices vertically, overlapping 3 slices horizontally. Place a basil leaf, a piece of mozzarella, and a cherry tomato at one end, then roll tightly to wrap. Repeat for all 4 pieces.

In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (egg, flour, water). Coat the wrapped rolls in batter, then breadcrumbs, repeating the process twice for a thicker coating.

Heat salad oil in a pot to 180°C (350°F). Fry the rolls for 1–2 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
